The aviation industry is extremely highly regulated, and soit is the training of the pilots, for them to be allowed to fly, they need to go through a rigorous, very detailed and standard training program to prove they are proficient. The instructors and examiners need to complete the forms and ensure they cover all the requirements, while giving the administration team a seamless management tool to handle the documentation. The main challenge was to digitize the entire process, reduce human errors and make it audit-proof.
THE PROCESS
We started by understanding the different users involved, interviewing experts from all departments, facilitating workshops, as well as the business process and regulatory requirements, where we created journey maps, service blueprints and numerous artifacts to help us untangle the complexity and understand the experiences we need to design.
We created a robust suite of products that worked together to deliver a seamless and adapted experience to each of the users in their particular context and needs to make the process faster,m more efficient, paperless and error-free. We ensured standard training all across the organization, reduced administration time by more than 50% and reduced errors to nearly zero.
